What We Do
TaxLookup.ai provides free access to property tax assessment data across the United States. We aggregate public property records from state and county GIS databases, covering over 80 million properties across 36 states — and growing.
Data Sources
Our data comes from publicly available government sources including state ArcGIS servers, county assessor databases, and open data portals. We combine real-time API queries with a bulk database of indexed records to provide fast, comprehensive results.

How It Works
When you search for a property, we query multiple sources in parallel — live government APIs for real-time data and our indexed database for broader coverage. Tax estimates are calculated using county-level effective tax rates from U.S. Census data when actual tax bills aren't available from the source.
